The distance between (0, 0) and (7, 1)

Given: x1=0  y1=0  x2=7  y2=1
Distance Formula: d = √(x2 – x1)2 + (y2 – y1)2
d = √(7 – 0)2 + (1 – 0)2
d = √(7)2 + (1)2
d = √49 + 1
d = √50
d = √25 * √2
d = 5√2 = 7.071068
