Hypotenuse of a Right Triangle | Given leg lengths of 16 and 12

Pythagorean Theorem: a2 + b2 = c2
Given: a = 16   b = 12
(16)2 + (12)2 = c2
256 + 144 = c2
c2 = 400
c = √400 = 20
Hypotenuse = √400 = 20
