Determine whether a Triangle with side lengths of 1.4, 4.8 and 5 is a Right Triangle

A Right Triangle must satisfy the Converse of the Pythagorean Theorem: a2 + b2 = c2
From the given side lengths, let a = 1.4, b = 4.8, c = 5  (c cannot be less than a or b)
a2 + b2 = (1.4)2 + (4.8)2
a2 + b2 = 1.96 + 23.04 = 25
c2 = (5)2 = 25
a2 + b2 = c2  (25 = 25)
Therefore, a Triangle with side lengths of 1.4, 4.8 and 5 is a Right Triangle
