Composite Number

  • Unlike a prime number, a composite number has more than 2 factors
  • A composite number is a number that can be written as a product of prime numbers
  • Example: 36 is a composite number since 36 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 3
  • The process of writing a composite number as a product of prime numbers is called Prime Factorization
